- Conclusion of Premiere Experience
Notes:
1. A participant is a person that has purchased the complete WorldSkills Premiere Experience package. The full package includes all the activities in the schedule above as well as the designated program hotel and airport transportation in Calgary.
The following components of the WSPE are open to individual registrations and paid on a per activity basis:
- Wednesday, 2 September – Global Skills Marketplace
- Thursday, 3 September – WorldSkills Leaders Forum
2. Global Skills Marketplace: This is a morning session dedicated to global skills issues. There are 4-5 presentations that are run simultaneously for the participants to choose from. These sessions are conducted twice so that participants have the opportunity to attend two different sessions. The topics are selected based on current global skills issues. World class presenters engage and interact with participants in a facilitated session. The presenters introduce the topic for approximately 20-30 minutes followed by interactive discussions focused on the topic. Each workshop can accommodate a maximum of 50 people.
3. WorldSkills Leaders Forum: The WorldSkills Leaders Forum (WSLF) and luncheon is an opportunity for participants to hear from leading world class keynote speakers about global skills issues and stories. With opportunities to ask questions, engage in conversations and debates as well as networking, this is a ‘not to be missed’ part of the WorldSkills experience. Participation is limited to 450 people so book early.
4. Restaurant Service competition: This is a unique opportunity to be a part of the WorldSkills Competition. One of the 45 plus skills at the WorldSkills Competition is the Restaurant Services competition. During this competition, the competitors have to serve a variety of different food and drink, showcasing their world class service skills. The WorldSkills Premiere Experience participants will be ‘guests’ at the Competitors’ restaurant. Participants get to go inside the competition area and be wined and dined by competitors. *Please note that due to the style and nature of the Restaurant Services Competition, the WorldSkills Premiere Experience participants will be split into different groups and experience different types of dining experiences, times will vary
