X Factors: How to get more results from Skills Competitions

Details

in Grand Ballroom

The project: ‘The X-factors; practical use of Skills Competition’s methods and instruments in vocational education and the development of excellence’ is a project, initiated and managed by WorldSkills Netherlands as a strategic partnership and funded by the Erasmus+ program (KA2).
Partners are:
• Häme University of Applied Sciences (HAMK), Finland
• Find a Future / WorldSkills UK, United Kingdom,
• Hogeschool Arnhem Nijmegen, The Netherlands.

The project aims to find and use national and international knowledge and practices in order to stimulate and facilitate schools and vet-institutions to anchor and use Skills Competitions in the day-to-day vocational education and training-programs. The result will be a series of tools and manuals for teachers, assessors and examiners.

In our in-depth-session, we would like to share the preliminary results in our project. We will present and discuss an international document ‘igniting education’ and hopefully collect best practices, links to relevant research and other suggestions.
