Conference Dinner

Details

in Maritime Museum

After the first conference day, we will visit Het Scheepvaartmuseum for the official conference dinner. And what is a day in Amsterdam without a cruise through the canals? We will board one of the beautiful canal boats and float down to the museum.

The museum is located near the city old harbor. Built in 1656, the former national naval warehouse was once used by the Dutch navy to store sails, ropes, weapons and ammunition. Since 1973 it has been home to the museum. Notably, the famous replica of the Dutch East India Company ship ‘Amsterdam’ is moored at the museum.

During the recent renovation the inner courtyard has been covered by a glass roofing, creating a pleasant space for the visitors. In the evening hundred of tiny LED lights placed between shields of glass, give an impression of the starry sky.
