Iconic youth leader, global influencer, environmentalist, champion of children’s rights, peace and sustainability campaigner and a passionate advocate of women’s rights, 19-year-old Kehkashan Basu is a trailblazer who has been challenging the status quo and breaking social strictures and taboos which impede the progress and rights of future generations. Winner of the 2016 International Children’s Peace Prize, Kehkashan is a tireless civil society advocate for the Sustainable Development Goals empowering young people globally through her social innovation enterprise, Green Hope Foundation, which now has a presence in 14 countries. Kehkashan is a United Nations Human Rights Champion, the youngest recipient of Canada's Top 25 Women of Influence and HundrED's Innovator of the Year 2019.
