2.2 Showcase: Job-rich opportunities of the green transition

Details

Countries are increasingly urged to foster partnerships and align workforce planning according to their climate ambitions. Skilled professionals play a key role in facilitating the green shift in businesses. It is therefore imperative for public education and training to work along companies to meet the skill requirements of job-rich sectors in the post-pandemic and green jobs expansion landscape. The discussion will serve as a reference point for TVET institutions to learn business re-structuring priorities, ongoing partnership models, and innovative green skill development approaches.

Co-Moderator: Kenneth Abraham Barrientos, Programme Officer, UNESCO-UNEVOC
