Teachers, coaches and employers strive for intrinsic motivation in accompanying youngsters, whereas many youngsters are still in doubt about their future jobs. How can we motivate students, during their studies and in relation to future jobs? What can we expect, what not? What stimulates and what frustrates motivation? And how can you apply those insights in your communication policy?
Yvonne van Sark, partner at Youngworks, an agency for communication with youth in the Netherlands, provides insight into this intriguing issue. She combines scientific insights with practical do’s and don’ts. With her colleague Huub Nelis she wrote three books about the adolescent brain, about talent development, and about motivation.
